Mercovi comes from almost ten years as an environmental technician and fifteen years in software. The two had never been in the same room.
I spent almost ten years doing that legwork as an environmental technician, and fifteen years building software. From both sides the gap looked the same: the record was being made in the field and retyped in the office, and every retyping was a place to be wrong.
Mercovi is built by Invasso LLC, a software company in Parsippany, New Jersey. The company you contract with is Mercovi LLC, at 377 Valley Rd, Suite 525, Clifton, NJ 07013. Mercovi is preparing for its first customers; it has no customers in production yet.
The field is the record.
What the crew counts, weighs and signs is the record. Nothing is retyped into it later.

The hardest part of this work is not the office. It is the legwork — the walkthrough, the drum, the truck, the signatures, the count at the end of the day.
That is where the operation is actually run, and it is the part the software never reached. The paperwork got a program; the people doing the work got a clipboard.
Mercovi.
So Mercovi starts where the work starts.
The walkthrough is the record. Closing the job writes the bill. The manifest is computed from the waste codes.
Your wastes, containers, facilities, management methods, lab pack categories, floor plan and storage limits are data you edit, because a contractor's operation should not wait on a developer ticket.
One set of records runs a Saturday collection event, a monthly plant pickup, a stockroom lab pack and the floor they all come back to — so the stream you characterize once is the stream that prices, manifests and reports everywhere.

The paper comes out of it.
Manifest, pack list, dispatch sheet, bill and report print from the record instead of being assembled beside it.
Yours to configure.
Facilities, wastes, categories and limits are settings you edit. If a contractor would ever need it different, it is not hard-coded.
What it cost is never what it charges.
The company's own cost sits beside the bill, marked internal, and never prints on it.
