For county and municipal HHW programs · free
Post your collection day once. Share it everywhere.
Where, when, what to bring and what not to. It becomes a page, a PDF flyer, a QR code and a card for every town website — and it updates everywhere when you change it.
Free, for any program.
Whoever runs your collection, and whether or not they use Mercovi.
One page residents can read in ten seconds
The date and hours, the place with directions, who may come, and two clear lists: bring, and don't bring — with where to take it instead.
A link, a flyer and a QR code
Send it by email, text, Facebook, X or Nextdoor. Print the one-page PDF for the library and town hall; its QR code opens the live post.
On every town website, always current
Towns paste the card once. Change the post — or post a change notice when the weather moves the date — and every copy shows it.
Tools, when you need them.
In the same portal, on the same posts.
Residents book a time
Set your days, opening hours, slot length and cars per slot. Residents pick a time, confirm by email and get a calendar file and a cancel link. You check them in at the gate.
Search, or a label photo
Residents type what they have, or photograph the label, and see whether it's on your list — and where to take it if it isn't. Your list decides, every time.
Tap once per car
A big button on a phone at the gate. Booked cars count as you check them in, so the day's total is there when the gates close.
In detail.
Signing up
Type your work email, enter the six-digit code we send, and name your program and county. There is no password and no contract. Your first post can be live a few minutes later.
What a post holds
The dates and hours, the place and address, who may come and what proof they bring, the items you take and the items you don't (each with where to take it instead), your limits, your notes, a cover image and your contact.
Changes
Edit the post and the page, the PDF, the embed and the link preview all show the new version. A change notice puts a banner at the top of each, so residents who saw the old flyer see the update first.
Bookings
A drop-off post cuts each day into times of the length you choose, with the number of cars you can take in each. A resident books one time per post, confirmed by email. You see each day's list, print it, and check cars in.
What residents see
Your program's name, not ours. A small line at the foot says the post was made with Mercovi. Residents never sign up for anything; an email address is asked only to book a time.
Asked before the demo.
Is it free for a county HHW program?
Yes. Posting collection days, the public page, the PDF flyer, the QR code, the share links and the town-website embed are free for any household hazardous waste program, with no contract — whoever your collection contractor is, and whether or not they use Mercovi.
Can residents check whether an item is accepted?
Yes. Each post has a search box that answers from your own two lists as residents type, and a label photo check that reads the product name from the label and matches it to your lists. The answer always says your list decides, and points to your phone number when unsure.
How do drop-off appointments work?
Make a post with drop-off days, choose the opening hours, how long each time is and how many cars each time takes. Residents pick an open time, confirm their email with a six-digit code, and receive a confirmation with a calendar file and a link to cancel.
What happens to copies on town websites when the date changes?
Towns embed a card that loads the live post, so it changes when you change the post. Post a change notice and a banner appears at the top of the page, the PDF flyer, every embed and the link preview, so the update is the first thing residents read.
